The city of Laoag (a few hours to the north of Agoo) is a UNESCO world heritage site,
famous as being one of the last remaining examples of real colonial Spanish architecture.
While the Intramuros fort in Manila is better known it was heavily bombed while Laoag
was relatively untouched and many of the original structures remain. We can help you
organize a tour up the coast if you're interested!
Dagupan is a famous fishing port a couple of hours to the south of the house in Agoo. It
is a great place to go for a relaxing lunch and is an easy day trip.
The mountain city of Baguio is just a short one hour drive from the house. Full of history
and also a good 8-9 degrees cooler on average than the lowlands it is a great place
to go exploring.
